Fractures

Foot fractures are often a result of a traumatic event or due to a systemic disease within our bodies. They often occur unexpected and require prompt and knowledgeable treatment in order to help the patient get back on their feet as soon as possible.

Fractures appear in a variety of ways, including: Stress fractures, dislocations, subluxations and compound fractures. They are extremely painful and debilitating, especially if not treated promptly and sufficiently. At Roseburg Foot & Ankle Specialists, our doors and phone lines are always open to aid with any fractures that might be incurred within the foot. Fractures require an x-ray for adequate visualization, but our state-of-the art digital x-rays are in-house and available to allow both the patient and the doctor to correctly identify the fracture and develop a plan of healing to get the patient walking more comfortably again. If necessary, the fracture might require casting, offloading with a walking boot, or surgical planning, but we will make sure each patient understands the necessity of treatment as well as the necessary timeline to aid in proper bone healing. Don’t allow a fracture to go unhealed and negatively affect your ability to walk correctly and comfortably for the rest of your life.
